This boat has been built effectively from a single sheet of aluminium - effectively only in that the single sheet was made from 4 single sheets overlapped 75mm and triple riveted. Sealant was not used in the joints as the proposed bending of those joints would have sheared any solidified sealant and allowed potential ingress of water. Therefore the problem of sealing those joints remains.
They are very tightly riveted and the space is capillary at most.Getting a sealant into that space has to be a function of surface tension/capillary attraction, the viscosity of the sealant, positive and negative pressure at the joint entrances and the potential effect of immediate vibration on improving ingress of the sealant.
